Mommy's little helper

Annie loves to help me with the dishes. Unfortunately for me her idea of helping is taking all the silverware out and throwing it on the floor. She then proceeds to look up at me innocent and say ohhh while pointing to the silverware (like how did that happen mom)? Ahh she is so darn cute!

Birthday Fun

I had such a great birthday. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes and those who celebrated with me. I certainly was spoiled this year.

First Easter

Annie enjoyed her first Easter experience. We had an egg hunt with money filled eggs that Annie loved to find and shake. We had fun dying eggs again, and Annie received a cute Easter basket from Grammy. She loved the ball and played with it forever.

Happy Easter

We had fun last night dying eggs with friends and then with the left over dye coloring the snow. Happy Easter weekend everyone.

New Addition

Annie loves fish so we got her a little beta. We keep it on her bookshelf in her room so whenever we go in and she sees it she will begin very excitedly saying oh oh oh, it is so darn cute.

Latest Project

As a stay at home mom I have to find projects to fill my time. I was so sick of Annie's flowers being squashed in her dresser drawer so I made this. I have to give credit to my neighbor Melanie she is the one who gave me the idea. She made one similar for a friend.

February

I am ready for it to be warm but we were able to do some fun indoor things this month. Valentines was great; concert, lunch at chili's and a relaxing day with Kade and Annie We went bowling with family on Presidents Day. Last weekend we spent in West Jordan with my family. We went to the Aquarium in Sandy, watched my brother's rugby game and had fun watching the end of the olympics (how I miss those already).

Early Valentines

Since Valentines lands on Sunday this year we celebrated early. Not the traditional romantic date, but that really isn't our style. We went to Salt Lake to see only the best bands in concert. Fun. and Jacks Mannequin. I loved it! Fun. puts on such a good show, Jacks Mannequin did a good job too. I can't wait until Fun. comes back to concert again, I will be there. Thanks to our wonderful babysitter Sami who made this date night happen. We love our little Annie but it is so nice to get time without her.

We are excited to announce

that we will be going here in May. Yes we just booked tickets to visit my family in the Dominican Republic. Thank you to my parents for the early birthday present. I am so excited to take Annie to the beach. She loves the water. We take her swimming at the Sports Academy and she is so cute playing in the water. So until then I will be dreaming of the warm pretty beaches.

Holidays and Fun

I haven't posted in awhile but we have been too busy having fun with family and parties. We had a great Holiday season. To kick it off we had what we call a youthful Thanksgiving. We went to West Jordan and spent it with Derrick, Lucy, May and Sami. I think Derrick's Turkey is the best I have ever had and my stuffing was excellent too. Annie and May had so much fun playing together. Lucy and I love to think about the friendship and fun those two will have in the future.

Before Sami went to visit the fam in the DR she had Annie open her Christmas present early. She gave her this super cute pink and white hat which Annie wears everywhere and everyone comments on how cute she is. Thanks to Aunt Sami for helping Annie be an in style baby!


Kade's mom treated us to a dinner at The Roof, where we all ate way too much, I was stuffed for an entire day after. We also were able to see the lights at temple square.

Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Applegate. They gave her these really fun foam blocks, we play with them a lot.

Christmas eve dinner was yummy. We had fun staying in Logan and doing it ourselves.
